Mind Map Yearbook
10 Thumbnails for the design
The ideas that I am looking to take forward are numbers 2,6,7
Number 1 would be to plain to take forward. It wouldn’t offer as much as the others would however the hand could represent that we are there and are a welcoming school.
Number 2 I really like this idea as the feather gives a soft touch and then the explosion affect would help fill the page with the school colours allowing an interesting affect.
Number 6 may not turn out as well depending on the colours used may cause a very childish affect. Depending on the colours and how smooth the cut it depends how the rest will look.
Number 8 would be a good idea as it would help express the schools values and opportunities in a neat navy blue cursive writing across the page.
Number 9 would not be a good idea as it seems very congested and too much is on the page allowing a chunky book.

As shown above these are the 3 final products of the yearbook cover. Using various techniques on photoshop, geometric and the explosion feature that was learnt in the year. I decided that the best cover was the feather as I believed the colours, and visual affects are the greatest in this cover. The second one was my next choice as the colours are very vibrant and the cover stands out quite a lot. The third cover is my least favourite as it was a very untidy project and could have been improved perhaps if I did the dot painting to what I wanted.
Therefore this is my final yearbook cover, It is different, interesting and shows the school colours loud and proud with the church popping behind the dust. The cover is busy but does not appear overwhelming giving a nice touch to the white background rather than it being plain.
